Are You Ever Too Old to Create?
Never underestimate the power of your story.
Hey there, friends. Welcome back to my channel. Today, we're looking at the project of making-a keepsafe box.
But before we dive in, I want to talk about something that's been on my mind lately-getting older and staying relevant.
You see, as we age, there's this misconception that our creativity fades and our relevance dwindles.
But I'm here to tell you that couldn't be further from the truth.
Age isn't a barrier to creativity; it's a badge of honor, a testament to a lifetime of experiences and wisdom.
Creating something with your own hands is timeless. It's a way to capture memories, moments,
and emotions in a tangible form. And that's exactly wh...

    I have all 2-prong plug with no grounding wires and was using a surger connected to a grey attachment to plug in Christmas lights and when my son found he was not happy. So I tied to install a GFCI outlet with 3 wires (one black 2 grey) which easy but I could not get the green light to turn on. Gave up and went back to the original plug.

    Thank you, Dan, for validating this method. I did a coutnertop job and, due to the cabinetry work that was put in place before, it gave huge gaps. I was debating between using silicone foam versus moulding. I think foam is the better choice.

    HI Dan I just found your video. Great job of explaining. I was wondering how the ice came out. Anyway I just installed one of these ice makers in my brand new refrig. I followed the instructions word for word. turned on the water, turned on the ice maker. The green LED came on. Nothing happens. I had my wife turn it on and off while I had my hand on the water valve. I don't feel or hear a click. Any thoughts. Or tips on diagnosing. Or should I just get another ice maker.

    does it make any sense to install a GFCI somewhere other than close to a kitchen or bathroom sink? i have an older house that still has quite a few 2 prong outlets, am i better off replacing all the 2 prong outlets with 3 prong or should i also use GFCI's in some of the outlets?

    • @surferdude642
      @surferdude642 3 месяца назад

      Yes. A good strategy would be to replace some of your most commonly used outlets to GFCI's where appliances with 3 prong plugs will be used, and leave the others as is, or replace them with new 2 prong receptacles. Keep in mind that many appliances have 2 prong polarized plugs anyway, so you should be fine. Don't use regular 3 prong receptacles as a substitute for 2 prong. Appliances with 3 prong cords are relying on the ground connection to be there for safety. Appliances or tools with 2 prong cords are double insulated and have a plastic non conductive case, so they are safe as is.
